Apple has made iOS 16.3 available a month after it released iOS 16.2. This latest software update is available for iPhone models. It includes bug fixes and new features.
Physical Security Keys for Apple ID are one of the most important functions in iOS 16.3. Users can now strengthen their account security by requiring a physical Security Key for Apple ID as part of Two Factor authentication sign-in on new devices. This security feature is an extension of the other security features Apple has introduced over the last few months.
iOS 16.3 update also brings new Unity wallpaper, which honors Black culture and history in celebration of Black History Month.
iOS 16.3 supports the HomePod 2 smart speaker. It delivers a richer sound quality and a heavier bass.

iOS 16.3 is crucial because of the bug fixes it makes and the new tweaks that it offers. These are the ones you need to know:
- To prevent emergency calls, hold the side button that has the volume buttons up or down and release it.
- Fixed an issue in Freeform that some strokes made with Apple Pencil, or your finger, may not be displayed on shared boards.
